Secrets of the Ocean: The Odyssey of Tunie and Runie
Book 1 of Secrets of the Ocean, by Devidasa Kawal.
When a wild storm snaps the stilts under their little beach house and floats it out to sea, Tunie and her six-year-old sister, Runie, are suddenly adrift, with two small dogs, a box of crackers, and no land in sight.
Then a hungry seagull named Fred lands on the porch railing. A carved chest turns up in the attic. And a secret room under the roof holds a map no one in the family has ever seen.
Tunie is in charge. Runie is not scared. (Mostly.)
A read-aloud adventure about courage, sisters, and the way home.

A look inside
From Chapter 1
Tunie opened her eyes. Her little sister, Runie, was dashing across the sand, her long dark hair flying loose behind her and her red hair clip bouncing with every step. Runie’s cheeks were rosy with excitement, and her six-year-old legs were going as fast as they could go.

Secrets of the Ocean: The Nova Stone
Book 2 of Secrets of the Ocean, by Devidasa Kawal. Now available.
One stormy night, something dark carried Dad out to sea.
Now nine-year-old Tunie and six-year-old Runie are out on the dark water in Dad’s little boat, buckled into their red life jackets. And the pink dolphin is back, leading the way through a long night of icy patches and strange whispers under the waves.
Every island holds a secret, and the Island of Echoes holds the biggest one yet.
Tunie has a plan. Runie has a plan too. (It is a little bit different.)
