Accessibility Statement

Our commitment
Red Desk Press wants everyone to be able to read and use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control or captions. Our goal is for this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What we have done
- A skip link, clear headings and labelled navigation on every page.
- Text alternatives for illustrations, and hidden labels for decorative art.
- A readable typeface designed for legibility (Atkinson Hyperlegible).
- Games and quizzes that work with a keyboard, with visible focus and spoken results for screen reader users.
- A Pause animations button at the bottom of every page, and no animation at all for visitors who set their device to reduce motion.
We check pages with automated testing (axe-core) at desktop and mobile widths and by keyboard. Automated tools cannot catch everything, so we also welcome your feedback.
Known limitations
- Some games are timed for fun. The timer only records a best time and never ends a game early.
- The book itself is sold through Amazon, which has its own accessibility features.
