For grown-ups
Privacy Notice
Last updated October 26, 2026.
The short version
Tunie and Runie is a website for children and families from Red Desk Press, based on the book Secrets of the Ocean by Devidasa Kawal. We do not collect personal information from anyone who uses this site, including children under 13.
What stays on your device
- ['Quizzes and planners: answers are worked out in your browser and are never sent to us.', 'Games: each game can remember your best time and stars in this browser’s local storage, on this device only. The “clear” button on the Play page removes them, and so does clearing your browser data.']
Cookies, analytics and advertising
This site does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or behavioral advertising. It has no accounts, chat, comments or sign-ups.
Who processes it
Netlify hosts this website. As our host, Netlify processes technical data, such as IP addresses, to deliver and secure the site. We do not sell or share personal information.
Links that leave this site
Buttons to buy the book go to Amazon, and some links go to Red Desk Press or the author’s website. Those sites have their own privacy policies. We mark links that open a new tab, and we suggest that children ask a grown-up before buying anything or leaving the site.
Children’s privacy
Because we do not collect personal information from children, there is nothing for a parent to review or delete. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example by email, write to us and we will delete it.
Your choices in the United States
If you live in California, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what personal information is held about you, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and not to be treated differently for using those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as California law defines those terms.
Visitors outside the United States
This section adds detail that privacy laws in places such as the United Kingdom, the European Union, Switzerland, Canada and the United Arab Emirates ask for. Those laws include the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), the UK GDPR, Switzerland’s Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and the United Arab Emirates Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (UAE PDPL).
